Privacy

Last updated: July 18, 2026.

Short version: translation, charts, and quizzes run in your browser. We do not run user accounts. This page lists what can stay on your device, what hosting may log, and how we will announce analytics or ads if they ship.

What stays on your device

  • Text and braille in the translator: browser memory for the session - not uploaded for conversion
  • Alphabet / numbers taps and practice answers: this tab only for the current round
  • Theme preference: may be stored in localStorage under blb-theme
  • Clipboard: only when you click a Copy control

Clearing site data, using a private window, or switching devices resets local preferences. We cannot restore quiz scores from a server - there is no cloud progress profile.

What we do not collect for the tools

  • No account, password, or social login required to convert or practice
  • No upload of practice transcripts for storage or model training
  • No camera or photo OCR pipeline
  • No microphone capture
  • No mailing-list wall before the tools work

What hosting may see

The site is served over the public internet. Like most websites, infrastructure may log IP address, user agent, referrer, and requested path for security and operations. That is normal host telemetry. It is not a transcript of your HELLO WORLD paste in the translator pane.

Analytics and ads

Reserved ad slots may appear in the layout (empty placeholders until a partner is enabled). If we turn on analytics or live ads, this page will say so in plain language - what loads, and that tool math does not depend on ads filling.

Right now the tools themselves do not need a signup wall. Core convert should still run if you block third-party scripts after the page assets have loaded.

Your choices

  • Use a private window if you do not want theme preference to persist
  • Clear site storage to wipe blb-theme and related keys
  • Do not paste secrets into the translator if you are on a shared computer - clear the fields when done
  • Email privacy questions via Contact

Children

The tools are general learning utilities. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children as part of an account system - there is no account system. Classroom use still follows your school's rules for devices and monitoring.

Changes

If privacy practices change, we update this page and the "Last updated" date. Material changes (for example, adding analytics) will be described in the Analytics and ads section, not hidden in a footnote.
